The Smallholders Foundation is a rural development organization, founded in 2003, by multi-award winning young farmer, social entrepreneur and innovator Nnaemeka Ikegwuonu.. We promote environmentally sustainable agriculture, needed to improve the yield and income of smallholder farmers in Nigeria. We achieve this by producing and broadcasting agriculture, environmental, market and other social development educational radio programs, to increase farmers’ skills and knowledge. We organize farmers into radio listener groups and lead practical field demonstrations to deepen their learning. Our goal is to inform, educate and improve the livelihood of smallholder farmers across Nigeria.
